Principal Dentist | GDC No. 187226

About Me

I founded Citrus Dental Care and have led it as Principal Dentist since the beginning. I qualified from the University of Athens in 2009 before moving to the UK, where I’ve spent the years since building what I’d like to think is one of the most comprehensive implant and restorative dentistry skill sets you’ll find in Edinburgh.

Qualifications and Training

I hold a three-year Masters degree in Dental Implantology from London, alongside postgraduate training I’ve completed across Italy, Hungary, Brazil, and Denmark. I’ve also completed advanced Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry programmes along the way. When it comes to the full picture of what modern dentistry can do, I’ve made it my business to know the territory properly.

Clinical Interests

My particular passion is dental implants, specifically the more complex cases. Full-arch rehabilitation, All-on-4, complete smile restorations for patients who’ve been missing teeth for years and are finally ready to do something about it. These are the cases I find most rewarding, and the ones I’ve trained hardest for.

How I Work

I’m a strong believer in dentistry being as comfortable and predictable as possible. That’s why I use digital treatment planning, intraoral 3D scanning, and guided implant surgery as standard. Not as a selling point, but because they make what I do more accurate and the experience easier for the person sitting in my chair.

Nervous Patients

This is something I take seriously. I know from reviews and from conversations after appointments that a lot of patients come to me having had difficult experiences elsewhere, or having avoided the dentist altogether for years. I take the time to understand what’s worrying someone before anything begins, explain clearly at every stage, and go at a pace that actually works for them. It’s not a technique. It’s just how I work.

Beyond the Practice

Outside of my clinical work, I sit on the NHS Lothian Local Dental Committee and the NHS Lothian Area Dental Executive. It’s important to me to contribute to how dentistry is shaped across the region, not just within my own practice.

Outside Dentistry

Away from work, I’m a keen kitesurfer and skier. And by my own admission, I spend most of my remaining spare time trying to keep up with my kids.
