NHS check-ups are free for all registered patients, with under-26s receiving all NHS treatment free of charge. Other NHS patients pay 80% of treatment cost up to a maximum of £384 per course. Private examination and X-rays cost £70. Dental hygiene appointments start from £85. Private treatment fees include composite fillings from £135, dental implants from £2,500, Invisalign from £3,500, and teeth whitening at £395. 0% finance is available through Tabeo.
NHS Fees
NHS dental examinations are free for every registered patient in Scotland. If you fall into an exempt group, under 26, pregnant, a recent mother, an HC2 certificate holder, or receiving qualifying benefits, all your NHS dental treatment is free. Everyone else pays 80% of the treatment cost, capped at a maximum of £384 per course of treatment, so you’ll never be charged more than that no matter how much work is needed.
