4Try-inA wax trial denture is made first so you can see and feel how the final denture will sit, and any adjustments to the shape, shade, or fit are made before the final version is produced.

5Final fittingYour finished dentures are fitted and checked carefully for comfort, fit, and appearance. Minor adjustments are made at the chairside.

Chrome cobalt dentures use a metal framework with acrylic teeth and gum-coloured material, making them thinner, stronger, and more comfortable to wear than a standard acrylic denture. For patients who can afford the modest additional cost over acrylic, chrome cobalt is almost always the better long-term choice.
NHS patients are eligible for dentures where clinically necessary under the standard Scottish NHS band charge and the £384 per course maximum.

Wearing dentures continuously increases the risk of gum soreness and fungal infections. Store them in water or a denture-soaking solution overnight and clean them thoroughly before reinserting in the morning.
